Up the road
I'm not sure whether it's normal to think or feel this, but when news breaks of something violent in the locality somehow it resonates greater than the many which get reported on the news.
Jimmy Mizen, 16, was murdered in Lee - an area of London a mere 10 minutes away on my bike. He died at the scene yesterday.
He's the 13th teenager in London to have been murdered this year. Inevitably, the event being so close geographically makes it an even sadder piece of news.
